About the Artist
|
My name is Laela Werner and I am currently a junior in the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City School District. I take part in several extracurricular activities through ACGC including the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the volleyball team. Aside from my extracurricular activities, I always prioritize my faith, family, and friends. I love to sing, laugh, and be creative! I hold myself to extremely high standards, especially when it comes to my education. I am a bit of a perfectionist! I am a proud owner of a small business that I created called Simply Lettered. I find happiness in constructing and selling decorative signs.
Throughout my Southwest Minnesota State University Art 100 Course at ACGC, I hope to develop an eye for beautiful imperfections. I want to walk away from this class with an understanding of perfect flaws in artwork, and I want to learn to embrace them. Following my years at ACGC, I plan to attend a four year college. I am unsure of the profession I want to pursue, but thanks to church volunteer work, my strong faith, and my optimism, I know I want to embark on a journey that will lead me toward helping people. I want to be able to guide people through their obstacles, and allow people see the beauty in the broken! |
